registration for spring 2025 season will open on february 1, 2025.
The registration process will only allow players to register in their applicable age division.
Extraordinary circumstances may support Under Age Exemption requests, therefore, we may consider on a case by case basis. If you would like to request an age exemption, please complete the google form here: Underage Request Form
Please register and sign up for evaluations for the applicable age group. Link will be available in Feb 2025
Examples:
If athlete is 9U age level and is requesting to play in 11U, please register for 9U and sign up for a 9U evaluation.
If athlete is 7U Rally Cap and requesting to play 9U, please register for 7U Rally Cap.
Each athlete will be required to attend one evaluation session. This is to try and create near equal teams. These dates/times will be sent out by the level coordinator once registration is closed.
2025 Volunteer Requirements:
To keep softball operating costs reasonable, Parkland Softball is implementing a mandatory fundraiser or volunteer requirement for the 2025 season.
More information will be provided in January 2025 as what the fundraising/volunteer requirements will be for 2025.
Note: Bingos are no longer part of the softball fundraising program.
Coaching, managing, and other volunteer opportunities will be available as well for credit.

kidsports
Parkland Softball works with KidSport Parkland to provide funding for families who need help with fees. Please do not complete a registration for your player until approved by KidSport. Baseball or Softball?
Currently PMBA http://www.parklandminorball.ca offers coed baseball (small white ball) for all divisions and Softball (larger yellow ball) for U7-U17. This registration site is for Softball only.

What level do I register my player for?
U7- Birth years 2018/2019 (recreation only)
U9- Birth years 2016/2017 (recreation only)
U11 - Birth years 2014/2015 (rep/competitive team and recreational teams)
U13 - Birth years 2012/2013 (rep/competitive team and recreational teams)
U15 - Birth years 2010/2011 (rep/competitive team and recreational teams)
U17 - Birth years 2008/2009 (rep/competitive team and recreational teams)
U19 - Birth years 2006/2007 (rep/competitive team and recreational teams)
When does the season start and finish?
The recreation season will start at the beginning of May (weather permitting) and finish by the end of June. Depending on the team, teh rep season will start with indoor training as early as October. Games may start in April/May.
If my player tries out for a rep team and is not successful, what happens?
If your child is not placed on a rep team, their registration be moved to the recreation league and they will attend evaluations to be placed on a recreation team.
What equipment does my player need?
- Helmet with cage (PMBA has put in place a policy that requires each player to have his/her own ball helmet. PMBA has put this helmet policy in place for reasons such as personal safety, hygiene etc.)

- Fielders Mask - U11 and up
- Athletic Support Cup (Jill)
- Water Bottle
- Navy Softball Pants
- Red Belt

- Bats (the association provides a team bats
What size of ball is used?
U11 and U13 categories all use an 11″ ball.
U15 and all categories above, use a 12″ ball.
When are Rep tryouts?
Rep tryouts are held the September before the following season.
Who can attend the AGM?
The AGM is held in November. Anyone can attend. The date will be sent out to our membership about a month before the meeting. Follow our social media for updates.
